  yummy, easy midweek meal. Served it with noodles but would be equally delicious with rice. I added red pepper and onion to mine and didn't bother blanching the broccoli, just chucked it in the frying pan with the other ingredients as I like mine with a bit of bite! Will definiately be making again.

  This is absolutely lovely, with little kick, right textures and so quick to make. Also, great for anyone who is watching their waistline. I made it this morning for work lunch, just put less soya sauce, scared of sodium. It took 15 minutes all in all and I brought it to work with rocket, lamb lettuce and red bell pepper salad dressed with just lemon juice. Wow, the whole office was asking what it is! Very worth making, I will definitely make it again and again

  In an effort to try something different - but quick and within my calorie allowance - I made this for lunch yesterday for me and my husband. It was a complete and utter success, very delicious and, served just on its own, was just the right amount of food to give us a satisfying lunch. If I was making this for a main meal I would either double up the quantity and serve on its own, or do one and a half times the quantity and serve with rice or noodles. I will definitely be making this again and again - it was truly scrumptious!

  Really lovely,highly complimented - but would like to know how do I shred a spring onion ? I tried a cheese grater, then a food processor ! surely fine chopping would be fine ! Also is the chilli whole or deseeded ? How is that shredded ? Finely chopped again........

  As a slight variation, I marinade the thinly sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, pressed garlic, chinese 5 spice and chilli (optional). This makes the meat really moist and tender, and can be prepared the night before; pop it in with the onions. This saves time re flash frying the beef, scooping out and then quickly softening the garlic, ginger, chillies and onions. The same marinade works equally well with raw or cooked chicken or pork. Serve with noodles, and a splash of sweet chilli sauce to serve.

  we love this meal! So easy and quick to make instead of spring onions i used bean sprouts as my BF doesnt like onions. served with brown rice.

  I marinated the chopped steak in soy sauce, sherry vinegar and the garlic and ginger for a few hours before cooking - well worth it. I think oyster sauce would also be nice . I served with plain boliled rice. Very tasty!

  Delicious. Broccoli in market was looking a little old, so used mangetout, beansprouts and mushrooms instead. Marinated meat as per previous suggestions. Have some left over for lunch tomorrow - can't wait! Definitely a keeper :))
