Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Toss the potato wedges with 1/2 tbsp olive oil. Put on a baking tray and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  2. Meanwhile, mix together the pork, curry paste, grated onion and half the coriander. Season and form into 4 burgers. Brush the burgers with a little oil then grill or griddle for 5-6 minutes each side until they are cooked through.
  3. For the mango salsa, mix the mango, chilli and the rest of the coriander with the lime juice. To serve, put a burger on top of some little gem leaves and spoon over some salsa. Serve with the sweet potato wedges.

So full of flavour -just wonderful. Have done it with and without chilli and it is still tasty.

This is a great recipe. I made salsa of tomatoes rather than mango, and it was delicious!

This recipe is fabulous. I have made it with turkey meat and also salmon. A real winner with my family!!!

This has become a family favourite! I would doubt the calorie content though as I feel it is much higher given a small sweet potato would be nearly 200 cals

I made this with turkey breast mince instead. This recipe was great. So many fabulous tastes going round my mouth! Definitely will make again. I had no probs with burgers crumbling either. I'm really a novice when it comes to cooking but these were easy to make and it's encouraging me to cook more in the kitchen.
5 stars for taste
5 stars for easiness to make

Absolutely gorgeous burgers, a firm favourite around ours, can’t wait to make them for friends! Low in calories too so perfect for when you’re watching what you eat. 5 stars all the way!

Prepared the burgers in the morning and left them in little muffin moulds in the fridge to hold their shape...also added some olive oil to the burger mixture so it would bind better. Was still a little crumbly but not too bad - may try the egg suggestion next time. Also found the sweet potatoes a bit soft, even after heating the oil in the baking tray before adding the wedges...but they still tasted nice! Really nice flavours altogether and will definitely do again!

Lovely recipe, we also added onion to the salsa but we served it with a noodle salad. Made the bugers into small bites and worked really well. We make this often and it always gets great comments.

I also used turkey mince and they were delicious. Chilled them in the fridge for a few hours and they held together really well. cooked them on George Foreman Grill. Salsa also delicious. Served them with sweet chilli sauce. Will definitely make them again soon.

It asks for half the grated onion to be added to the burger mix but does anyone know what is meant to be done with the diced onion as it doesn't say?

Very nice, I put the burgers in ciabatta rolls rather than the lettuce leaves. Too much red chilli in the salsa for me but my husband liked it.

Beautiful! didnt have the tools for the salsa so used apple chutney which went beautifully with the pork burgers, all tasted wonderful I used mild curry paste instead of red thai that only gave a hint of the curry taste but that was fine for me, the sweet potatoe wedges were devine as well! as for the binding issues some people had I added an egg to the mixture and refridgerated for about 5 minutes and they held together beautifully. All in all, a must have and for me a repeat performance!

Very delicious, I love the sweet and spicy salsa on on the burgers, they go lovely with the savoury wedges. And yes, I too was confused by the other half of the red onion, I can only imagine it's for the salsa, that's what I did and it was lovely.

put your burgers into the fridge for 20 minutes and they should hold together, another tip is dont turn them too many times once or twice is plenty.
very tasty burgers served with tomatoe salsa and ciabatta bread rolls lovely
