Christmas stollen pudding

Method

  1. Heat oven to 180C/160 fan/gas 4. Put the stollen cubes into an ovenproof serving dish. Mix the cream, milk and eggs together and pour over the stollen. Sprinkle over the amaretti biscuits. Bake for 45 mins until golden and slightly risen. Serve dusted with icing sugar, if you like.

    That looks very nice, but is there such thing as leftover stollen? I've never come across such a thing in all my years.

    I agree. There is never any stollen leftover in our house! I bought one specially for this recipe, and had to hide it away until ready to use. Added a tbsp of Ameretto to the egg/cream mix, and I should have made two, as everyone wanted more (even the stollen-haters)

    Another classic "leftover" recipe. Leftover Stollen is like leftover venison...what on earth! It's sounds good though. Will give it a whirl. Thanks.
