Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Toss the bread with 1 tbsp olive oil and some sea salt. Bake on a tray until golden.
  2. Mix the crème fraîche, Worcestershire sauce, dijon, garlic and parmesan with a squeeze of lemon.
  3. Put a piece of chicken or egg in each little gem leaf, then add the croutons, spring onions, a drizzle of sauce and the parmesan shavings to finish.

    Lovely! I ommitted the chicken but kept everything else the same and everyone at the BBQ loved it and wanted to know what was in it. Yum! Will be making this at every BBQ now. Tip - use 3-4 day old eggs as new eggs are impossible to get the shell off without breakng the egg white.

    I omitted chicken too as had vegetarian guests. These went down a treat. These taste delicious and are so easy to prepare.
