Cranberry & red wine sauce

This can be made two or three days ahead, and only gets better as the flavours develop

Method

  1. Put everything in a pan and simmer until the liquid has reduced and the cranberries are jammy.
  2. Fish out the cinnamon stick and star anise before serving. Serve warm or cold.
