  I used veggie mince for this recipe. Really stodgy and tasteless. I don't know if this was due to the veggie mince.

  Loved this! Very tasty. Great to see a recipe using extra lean mince too - I think it tastes more 'beefy' that full fat or even reduced fat mince. Froze well, but would recommend popping a bit of foil loosley over the top when reheating as the cobblers will start to over brown!

  This was so easy to make & delicious. I added button mushrooms (instead of chestnut) & baby sweetcorn, as well as the peas Will certainly be making again in the future. It was still yummy as left overs the following day.

  Very tasty I used leeks and also sweetcorn as I had those available and left out the mushrooms but everyone loved it very tasty and simple

  Very tasty and simple to make. A really good weekday supper. I usually find dumplings very tasteless, but these were yummy with the yoghurt and thyme!

  Rated for health, as well as for it's lovely flavour. The scones worked so well, like healthy dumplings. I'll do this regularly. I splashed a bit of red in mine. :)

  Good recipe. Can be tarted up with a splash of wine, or some chilli or other herbs. I added a bit of grated cheese to the top of the dumplings and made traditional ones with veg suet as I didnt have yoghurt to hand. Will try the yog versions next time though. used tinned mushrooms - no fresh ones to hand, and i don't think it makes a huge difference in something like this. Would probably add a few more veg, or serve more veg on the side to make it less MEAT!!

  average reciepe. not sure if my cobblers were wrong. they tasted ok but they didnt look right. probably wont bother making again

  Wooah! Amazing! So much better than I thought it would be. Didn't have mushrooms, but decided to experiment and add a can of green lentils, and a mix of beef and mushroom stock. Honestly, don't know if I've eaten anything better!

  Family really enjoyed this. Good old fashioned wholesome grub for a chilly evening! I had a couple of carrots, a parsnip and quarter of a swede that needed using up, so I diced them and added them to the stew mix. I also added a splash of red wine. Very nice ... think I slightly overcooked my scones though as they were a tad crispy, but lovely texture inside and underneath. YUM

  ps Forgot to say, that one of mine was made with quorn mince and the other with beef. Quorn version was tasty ... think the red wine and fish-free worcester sauce added nice taste to it.

  A firm family favourite.I used to add a tin of campbells condensed oxtail soup to this but now can only get ordinary oxtail soup.still makes a great addition to taste and consistency. Try it !!

  Good recipe. My fussy son ate all the meat mixture but not the cobbles. I also had to cook the mushrooms separately (we love them but he hates them!). As a result, this amount only feeds three. I also found that this quantity of dough only makes 8-9 cobbles. Since I expected my son would not eat them, this was not a problem!
