Total time

plus 8 hours soaking time plus 1 hour cooling

Method

  1. measure out the fruit and the sugar and soak in the cup of tea and leave for at least 8 hours i.e overnight
  2. after soaking add the flour and the beaten egg mix thoroughly
  3. grease a loaf tin or line with foil add the mixture and cook on gas mark 1 / 2 for 1hour and 30 minutes add an extra 15 minutes if needed
  4. allow to cool and serve sliced with butter

    my son added some prunes and figs .said it was so nice so i tryed this to .and yes it was so nice.
