Fried Ice Cream in puff pastry

plus 20 minutes freezing time

Method

  1. Roll out the pastry to a thickness of 5mm, and cut into 4 rectangles
  2. Place a ball of ice cream in two of the rectangles, and top them with the other two rectangles.
  3. Seal pressing with your finger tips, and freeze for 20 minutes
  4. Preheat the oil in a deep pan, and fry the puff pastry until golden
  5. Remove from the pan and place in paper towel plate to avoid excess oil. Serve inmediately with hot chocolate sauce, berries, as you prefer

    Mmmmm... Yummy. It is delicious for kids or adults. With a bit of luck you could create the ultimate food for the kids when they come home for school. Absouloutely the best recipe I've encountered, and a lovely take on 'Baked Alaska'!
