Ingredients

  • 100g butter, roughly chopped
  • 300g dark chocolate (such as Bournville), broken into squares
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 140g rich tea biscuits, roughly crushed
  • 12 pink marshmallows, quartered (use scissors)
  • 2 x 55g bars Turkish delight, halved and sliced (or use Maltesers, Milky Way or Crunchie bars)

Method

  1. Gently melt the butter, chocolate and syrup in a pan over a low heat, stirring frequently until smooth, then cool for about 10 mins.
  2. Stir the biscuits and sweets into the pan until well mixed, then pour into a 17cm square tin lined with foil and spread the mixture to roughly level it. Chill until hard, then cut into fingers.

very quick and very easy. i just microwaved the butter and choc then stirred in the treacle. i used milky way, twix and malteasers but forgot biscuits and marshmallows - next time i will do a shopping list instead of relying on my brain! best of all very yummy!

very simple to make i supervised my 8 year old daughter doing this we used 200g bournville chocolate and then just a 100g bar of asda smart price dark chocolate to make up the 300g and was heavenly :) used turkish delight to, these didnt even last 24 hours in our house lol bit hit

Enjoyed making this with my daughter. Good introduction to cooking for children. Really nice comments from friends who tried it.

Used Mars planets as the added ingredient.

I made two batches. In one I substituted the tea biscuits for shortbread then I added Minstrels. Then in the next batch I used digestives and crunchie. Both were very yummy!!!! Can't wait to make them again!!!

I made these for a charity cake sale in work and they disappeared pretty quick! So so easy to make and cheap too - well I used all Tesco value ingredients and they tasted lovely. I cut these into small squares like the lady above as I agree they are very rich. I will definitely make them again.

very simple to make. i found it very sickly though. cut into bite size squares as bars would of been OTT.
i used maltesers, rich tea & 1/3 milk & 2.3 dark chocolate.

Excellent. Made 1.5 x batch as had larger tin. Used 150g mini marshmallows as that's what I had (saved cutting up larger ones) and half dark/half milk Sainsburys value chocolate. Used Tesco's own milky way substitutes and added few handfuls of sultanas.
Worked very well and was very popular. However I would use less marg/butter next time as it didn't need as much and tasted a little greasy to me.

These are great! I changed the recipe a bit as I thought the added chocolate bars might make it a bit too sweet! I used mini marshmallows, raisins and a mixture of rich tea & digestive biscuits. For the chocolate I used dark bournville orange and it added a lovely tangy edge. My children loved them (hubby too!) and my son is going to make them himself next time! Perfect for parties, lunch boxes or home bake stalls - or just to have with a cup of tea.

These look right up my alley - I looove chocolate, turkish delight, all chocolate bars etc! Can´t wait to do these, will try them tomorrow! I quite fancy a white version, with all white choc, white maltesers, pistachios and buttery shortbread. Hmm...do you think i could do these white ones and add a little bit of baileys, if I added it to the chocolate and left it to cool alot? Or would that maybe ruin them?

Great recipe with an infinite number of variations. I've made this many many times with dark, milk & white chocolate. Milk chocolate contains more cocoa butter than dark, & white chocolate contains even more. This is why some people have had a problem with it going grainy or splitting. Try using a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water to melt the chocolate butter & syrup (don't let the bottom of the bowl touch the water). This has always worked for me.
Oh, & chopped up Cadbury fingers of fudge works really well in it too.

Great. I used maltesers and turkish delight. However, maltesers had a similar texture to the tea biscuits. Next time I would use more marshmallows instead.

I make these chocolate crunch bars every week, they are yummy scrummy and so easy to make.
I use supermarket cheap dark chocolate (have used the expensive 70% cocoa stuff and its not as good) and rich tea biscuits. I find it much tastier without marshmallows/maltesers etc!
My boyfriend loves them, even though (apparently) he hasn't got a sweet tooth and they always go down really well in work!

Easy Peasy to make and absolutely gorgeous! I made it with Milk chocolate, marshmallows and some malteasers and they were really very tasty. Love it :)

Tastyyy! made these today, very yummu if a little sickly (in a good way) Used chocolate fingers instead of biscuits (they were on special offer in Tesco) and added rasins for a delicious twist. Would thoroughly recommend these to anyone with a sweet tooth!
