  great! simple and easy to make, straight forward and taste good too. I used milk chocolate instead of dark, tesco finest (89p per 100g) and it tasted absolutly fine. They are very rich and so I cut them into small sqaures too. they are gr8 and easy for the whole family to make.

  Yummmmmieeeeeeee!!! easy to make, everyone loved it, and we too used the Tesco Finest that littlemisshappy used, it worked a treat and is just like Bournville.

  I've become famous for making Rocky Road and have tried several recipes. This one is really good because of the inclusion of shop-bought chocolate bars. I recommend using one of each (when making a double batch) as each suggested bar brings something different to the recipe.

  wow im sorry for taking the bonfire idea but as i am 11 i wouldnt be able to just make them for no reason... so i will make them for then and i would prob get my chocolate from morrisons.. milky chocolate i will comment and say if they were a hit.. im compeating against a adults mars bar cake ps how do you find your recipes byexx

  These are absolutely delicious!! I used Milky Way instead of Turkish Delight but otherwise followed the recipe. Next time I'll add some chopped nuts. Took these along to journal and everyone tucked in and enjoyed them. Ha - if only they knew how easy they are to make!!

  Little cook- it makes about 12 slices so depending on how many you want to eat it will serve up to 12 people, although id say more like 4 as its delicious!! Great simple dish, i made this for bonfire night and i used digestives and crunchie bars in mine! Delicious!!

  Fantastic - made it twice now. Second time I put one less tablespoon of syrup which cut the sweetness a bit and added some cherry halves which made it even more delicious. I used maltesers instead of the turkish delight.

  Very, very tastey! My 11yr old made this to take to bonfire night party and is making again for a church celebration this Sun. He will try crunchy this time too. Will have to make quadruple amount! It disappears very quickly off the plate. Yummylicious!

  I've made these a few times now and they're always delicious! I use a combination of Bourneville and Green & Blacks milk chocolate. Last time though the chocolate went quite grainy - any idea what I did wrong??

  I love this recipe - as do all friends and family that have tried it! Until the last time we made this, we used a supermarket's own regular brand of dark cooking chocolate, which was lovely. However, last time we used their highest quality dark chocolate (approx 72% coco) and what a difference!- the chocolate mixture was glossy and covered the other ingredients with ease. It also tasted even better than our original attempts, which I didn't think was possible! So to summarise: although this is at its best with higher quality chocolate, it tastes just fine when using slightly cheaper options.

  Liked it but maybe a little over-sweet, possibly the chocolate I used? Also, are the marshmallows supposed to melt or stay intact? Mine melted but maybe I did not leave the chocolate mixture long enough to cool....

  I made these for a girly tea party with my friends. They polished them off and a few took home seconds for their families. I made two batched one with Green & Blacks 72% dark chocolate, tea biscuits and milk way and another with Lindt 72% dark chocolate, turkish delight and shortbread fingers. Both were a success but I preferred the crunchiness of the shortbread. I thought the intensity and bitterness of 72% dark chocolate works better with the sweetness of mallows, milky way and turkish delight. I'll be making these again sometime soon and experimenting with other sweets. For Kirstyjolly the mallows are suppoed to stay intact so maybe leave the chocolate mixture slightly longer to cool next time you make it.
