Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan, then soften the onion for 5 mins. Add the rosemary, chorizo and garlic, then fry for 2 mins more until the chorizo is starting to crisp. Tip in the passata, beans, cabbage and sugar, season, then simmer for 5 mins.

  2. Add the fish to the pan, leaving the tops of the fillets peeking out of the sauce, then cover with a lid and leave to cook for 3-5 mins or until the flesh flakes easily. Delicious served with crusty bread.

Lovely. I used salmon fillets, sliced green beans instead of cabbage and added some chilli flakes when sauce tasted a bit bland. Fish gently poached in sauce was delicious - husband not one for beans but enjoyed this. Extra bonus is its cooked in one pan.

Something seemed to be missing from this dish - almost as if it needed more chilli tho that would have obliterated the taste of the fish. Not a fan of this one at all, & hubby loathed it!

A very fast recipe. My cabbage was raw and the fish started to break. Wasn't my favorite recipe.

I made this last night and we really enjoyed it. I used a bit more chorizo, didn't fancy cabbage with fish so used chard and a couple of chopped courgettes instead as we have a glu of both in the garden. I didn't have canellini beans either so used chick peas which were good. I'm trying to cut carbs so didn't have a side dish but OH had new potatoes. I would have it with brown rice another time. A good, tasty, healthy one-pot.

I have cooked this several times and LOVED it. Recommended it several times to people wanting to cook for friends coming to supper and they loved it too. It's a perfect way to eat fish, and it's easy, healthy and my husband adores it which is always a bonus!

After the suggestions I used more chorizo than in the recipe and didn't fancy cabbage so added spinach instead, and we all loved this. As fish is no longer a cheap meal it was lovely to get that fishy taste with a kick of tomatoes and chorizo, will definitely try it again!

My boyfriend and I thought this was absolutely delicious. So easy to make with simple ingredients but great flavours. We added double the amount of chorizo which was lovely and didn't overpower the other flavours. will be having this again tomorrow!

This was a really quick and easy recipe, although I did cook the sauce for slightly longer thanks to the recommendations.
And definitely worth adding a little more chorizo.

Quite disappointing; I have looked forward to this all day. Used great ingredients, listened to Radio4 whilst cooking, something just not right. I think I will add the sauce to pan fried cod loin next time.

This was ok, but a little disappointing. There are much better fish recipe's out there. Will probably not do this recipe again.

Just finished scoffing my first effort with this recipe. Even the teenage daughter liked it! Next time I shall use more chorizo to spice it up a bit more, but it was very good as it was.

This was FAB. Used double amount of chorizo replaced cabbage with green pepper and used cod loin. Lovely flavours and lots of juice mopped up with sun dried tomato bread. Now resident in my binder and will DEF make again.

Very disappointed. A dish should taste like more than the sum of its ingredients and this one didn't. Would not make it again.
