  really yummy! definitely have with the garlic toasts as they are absolutly gorgeous and compliment the dish really well. i used 2 large red onions though as i felt 4 was slightly excessive (the ones i had were really big)

  We all loved this. I put the sauce through the blender in order to appeal a bit more to the fussy little ones - they loved it!! Served it with mash. The kids ate the left over sauce with pasta the next day. A quick, easy, cost effective, veg filled meal that lasted 2 days - need I say more!

  The quanity of sugar isn't listed in the ingredients above, it should be 1tbsp. Fanatastic - loved by all the family, even my fussy husband!

  we loved this last night. Had it with mash and it went very nicely. i added some garlic and some worcestershire sauce to add a little kick. would be easy to add extra veg to it.

  Tried it with a HOT chilli (straight from the greenhouse) added. Served it to friends and received rave reviews. Not bad for a cheap dish

  Really nice- easy and quite quick to make. The garlic toasts are gorgeous!! I added a littler red wine before adding the tomatoes and also used a little bit of garlic. yummy!

  Really nice recipe, made this with veggie Linconshire sausages and it worked well, I also blitzed up the sauce and it looked better that way,home made garlic bread is gorgeous, really excellent flavour, as said before the sauce would be great over pasta or even a pizza base, will make it again for sure.

  Fantastic dish! My husband has already asked to have it again (which will be the 3rd time). I added a second yellow pepper and a good few glugs of red wine. I also cooked it in two standard sized le creuset pots instead of the roasting tin. Beautiful and perfect for winter.

  Made this last night and followed recipe exactly. We LOVED the garlic toasts, Happy to make them again anytime. The casserole was delicious also, next time I will add extra veg to it and a good glug of wine as recommended by some above! great easy comfort food.

  I did this using quorn sausages, and added some mushrooms along with the tomatoes. Perhaps because I used a casserole dish rather than a roasting tin, after the prescribed 40 mins at the temp for a fan oven the onions and pepper were still raw. I had to turn up the heat and cook it for a further 25 mins for it to be edible, and the veg were still quite crunchy. I think if doing again I also would fry off the sausages first to brown them as they were a bit pasty looking. Also agree with the previous comment about too many onions. When it was finally served the family thought it ok, but I won't particularly rush to make again.

  making this again as it was so successful the first time! really yummy, tasty recipe! simple to make, and unlike some recipes after 5 minutes of prep, you can leave it and get on with other jobs!! GREAT! no fuss involved! great family dish, and it consists fo storecupboard ingredients so you can always make it whenever. what a bonus!

  another way to use up your sausages and make them look different, the garlic toasts made it for me and must say have done them again with a different dish.
