  This was tasty & I would do again. I stirred through some spinach before putting the mozzarella on the top and finished it off in the over as opposed to under the grill. It would not feed 4 though & only did 3 at a push.

  I added a small amount of water (1/4 of the size of the tin that the tomatoes came in), and a splash of red wine to this recipe and it was fab!

  we didn't rate this. as our first time trying gnocchi, we had great expectations but were disappointed at the stringy chewy taste. The sauce was nice though, and i would make this again but with pasta shells instead =]

  I had never tried gnocchi before this dish the family loved it although we think we would get fed up with it quickly. Also tried with cooked pasta and that worked really well too. I added some pancetta chunks, worcester sauce, 8 drops tobasco, 25g parmesan and a sprinkling of sugar....WOW, try it!

  Try boiling the gnocchi on its own, then add the sauce. Place in ovenproof dish. Substitute mozzarella for a few spoonfuls of creme fraiche, scatter with a handful of grated cheddar, then grill for 5-10 mins until starting to bubble/brown on top. The creme fraiche will mix in as you serve.

  added half a red chilli as had no basil, whizzed the sauce in the blender before adding gnocchi as my bairns 'dont do' lumpy sauces and sprinkled some crispy bacon when putting in the cheese, great quick and tasty tea, the pepper made it lovely and sweet

  I like! Versatile (you can add veg in any way you think fit) and definately the way that gnocchi is meant to be eaten. I generally find it disappointing, but this dish turns it into a delicious comfort food. Dead quick and easy to make.

  I love gnocchi usually, butwas really disappointed with this recipe. I thought the dish was claggy and very boring. I won't make it again.

  The meal was simple to make but tasted superb. The tomato and pepper go together really well and the mozzarella topped it off nicely. Will definitely make it again!

  Very nice, quick and easy recipe. I put the peppers on the gas hob to burn and peel off the skins before adding. I also whizzed the sauce in the blender so the kids wouldn't moan. I'm making it for the second time today and am adding butternut squash and mushrooms!
