  Hi Kate, I use ground rice when I can't afford ground almonds! I use a little almond extract as well, but you could leave that out! Hope this works for you. - Anne

  Very nice and easy cake! Didn't have sel-rising flour and used ordinary one and added a bit more baking powder to replace. Also added plain chocolate cut into chunkes - worked well. Will definitelly recommend this cake

  Made this today for afternoon tea at a friends. Took almost 1 hour in a gas oven. I used Green & Black cocoa powder and Galaxy chocolate for the chips. Kids loved it!
