Balsamic-glazed steak with garlicky green beans
There's no need to limit steak to special occasions with this fab low gi midweek supper

Preperation and cooking times
Ready in 30 minutes- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan. Add the garlic and sizzle for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cloves and simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened. Fish out the cloves then add the beans with a splash of water and cook for 3-4 minutes until just tender.
- Heat a frying pan until it's smoking hot. Season the steaks well then sear for 1 minute on each side. Add the balsamic to the pan and cook for another 30 seconds on each side. Rest for 3-4 minutes. Pile up the beans and sauce on two plates. Thickly slice the steak and put on top of the beans.
