Cherry almond crumbles

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Whizz the plain flour and butter together in a food processor until it looks like breadcrumbs. Stir the oats, almonds and demerara sugar into the flour mix.
  2. Mix the cherries with the sugar and 4 tbsp water. Tip into 4 individual ovenproof dishes or cups, then top with crumble mix. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

    Easy to make, and delicious. Next time I will make in a bigger dish, and serve out portions - only because I do think crumble needs to be served with custard and in individual cups it doesn't really work (although they look very pretty!)
