  Oooh these look nice, do you think they'd be good with chickpeas instead of butter beans anyone? I've never tried chickpeas, but have a tin in the house...

  O.M.G.....Just made thes used mature chedder instead,plus i made my own breadcrumbs.....very cheap and easy to make, very very tasty mnnn.

  These are soooooooo tasty. I tried them with butter beans and then with chickpeas and found them just as nice. I am going to try some bortolinis next ot maybe even black beans as I always have tins of bans in the house. Great served with a sweet chili sauce.

  We had these last night made with butter beans and haricot beans (that I had already) and cheddar cheese......surprisingly tasty. Had expected the flavour to be a little bland but was really yummy!!

  Tried this with soybeans, which I don't really recommend as they didn't bind well. But I would make it again with a different bean type :)

  These are an absolute staple in our house for my 14yr old vegetarian (and we carnivores alike!) ALWAYS use mature cheddar, and they are consistently wonderful - moist, tasty filling combines so well with crunchy outer. Am about to make a huge batch for the freezer, and use up of loaf of brown bread for outer crumbs.

  Just made for my 19 month old twins. Used mix of cheddar and gruyere cheese and added some herbs and sweet paprika to the seasoning. Kids really enjoyed them. Would either try a stronger cheddar or other stronger cheese in future, or add more spices to give a bit more punch. Pretty good though and the best thing is there are some in the freezer for a future meal as well. Quick easy and cheap!

  I'm giving this 5 stars, simple to do, pantry ingredients. My husband requests these burgers. I'm a non meat eater, he a meat eater. I shared this with my veggie student son. He was impressed as he bought his veggie burgers previously.

  Very nice (of course they are - they're full of cheese!) Made with cheddar, smoked paprika, wholemeal breadcrumbs. Didn't appreciate the greasy fried outer coating though, but it seems that this is the way all vegeburger type things are made, as far as I can find.

  Great recipe that has possibilities for ingredient compatible experimentation, chilli's, parsley, chives. I did not egg/flour mine but managed to fry them on a gentle heat. I would toss them into semolina for a crunchy exterior.

  I have given up meat for lent so was looking for ideas. This is lovely, so tasty and easy to make. Quick too. I will be having this again, even after lent. Same its so bad for you with all the cheese :)
