Parmesan & anchovy straws

Every afternoon tea needs a cheese straw, especially when they're this easy to make

Method

  1. Roll the pastry very thin, scatter half the parmesan over half the pastry and fold in half. Re-roll. Spread a thin layer of Gentleman's Relish over half the pastry and fold in half. Lightly roll so the pastry sticks together. Brush with egg and sprinkle on the remaining Parmesan. Cut into 1 cm strips and stretch slightly. Chill on a baking sheet for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Bake the straws for 15 minutes or until they are golden and crisp.
