  • 3 tbsp sesame seed, toasted
  • small bunch coriander, roughly chopped

Method

  1. Cook the noodles according to pack instructions, then drain. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large wok, add the chicken, then stir-fry over a high heat for a few mins. Tip in the carrot sticks, then continue stir-frying for about 4 mins until the chicken is cooked and starting to brown.

  2. Quickly stir in the honey and lime juice, bubble for 30 secs, then add the sesame seeds and cooked noodles. (It’s easier to use tongs at this stage to mix everything together.) Warm everything through briefly, then toss in the coriander just before serving.

Made this recipe twice this week. Very delicious and gone down well in the house. I did however change the recipe up a little which i think it needed. I added red pepper, spring onions, ginger and soy sauce. I also only used one lime which i think is enough and works better than lemons. Will definitely be making again and may toss in some pine nuts next time.

Quite bland. I wasn't overly impressed with this dish. I did add some brocolli but it still wasn't great.

took on board all these suggestions and here's what I did: used turkey instead of chicken, rolled it in 1tsp of five spice powder before frying, added crushed garlic. Used carrots, mushrooms and broccoli, also added a bit of sherry and bubbled it fast to help the veg steam, then later the lime, honey and sesame seeds as above. Random quantities of all of the above since I was feeding 4 and a baby. But everyone liked it and we didn't need to add any soy sauce.

I used 1 carrot and 1 lime a well as beansprouts as suggested by other Good Fooders. Fresh egg noodles also mixed in nicely. I ended up adding a fair amount of soy sauce as I didnt think it was that flavoursome. OH liked it more than me so will probably make again.

Mostly easy to make, the hardest part was trying to slice 3 carrots into matchsticks....it took forever! Nice basic flavours with the lime and honey, but did seem to have "something" missing. May be that all it needed was a bit of soy. I make lots of stir fries anyway so I will probably do this again, but I'll do less carrot and add some other veg like sweetcorn or pak choi, add some soy and maybe a bit or rice vinegar and probably do a little extra lime and honey to make them a bit more obvious.

I made this and took into account some of the previous comments. Egg noodles worked well and I added a heaped teaspoon of ready chilli from a jar. A quick, easy, tasty recipe.

Great as a quick tea for the middle of the week, had finished eating only 30 minutes after starting to cook it! I added green beans and only used 1 carrot, may try adding a little chilli next time.

No taste, by the time I added enough ingredients to make it taste ,it was nothing like the recipe.
