These are so simple to make. My 4 year old loved making them. I would like to try Jelly Tots in them and see if that works. They seriously do spread a lot. I will make these again and again.

I made half aswell as they were only for my Dad, and i added a bit mor flour because i thought the dough was too sloppy. Mine turned out thicker and more biscuit textured - but still tasted good :)

My 11 year old son and his friends are hooked on these. Really big and colourful with loads of taste. I put milk/white buttons on some, or chocolate chips. Cram loads of chocolates on, as they spread so much. Lovely recipe

Great recipe. Works just as well if you cream the butter and sugar then put it in with the dry mix, then add egg and vanilla. I'd hurt my wrist and loads of creaming of butter etc was proving difficult. Well recommended. Have to agree on the reduction in the amount of sugar used though. Already very sweet!

I just peeked in the oven and the have trebbled in size, I recommend using 6 tubes of smarties and if your using gas oven like me, leave them in for 15min on top tray then 15 min on bottom and vise versa. I make 21 cookies. They look just like subways! Will rate after eaten 1.... maybe 2, these smell REALLY good.....

Wow... just wow... 10/10 result, I burnt my mouth on the smarties cos I was so eager to try one... 9/10 due to now having a sore arm from beating butter and sugar, but totally worth it. Proberably used bout 4-6 table spoons extra flour and will use less sugar next time. If you haven't tryed them yet, why not?!

i found that there was not enough flour added (as stated) so added more to aid the mixture making it less sloppy. and far to much sugar, very very sweet, not good for the little ones! other than this they were very tasty.

Loved the recipe although I did find that I had to use a lot more flour to bring the mixture together. I also used loads of smarties and they turned out fabulous!

Wonderful. I made them a little small as have many to feed. Had to translate the recipe into Portuguese for my neighbour as her family demanded that she make some.
