  This soup is delicious! It has so much flavour. I will definetley be making it again. There is also the added benefit of it being good for you and it mainly uses 'store cupboard' items which is handy!

  We don't go for this modern fad for sticking 'heat' into everything - or anything, for that matter, although we do like a little bit of sweet chilli sauce in some things. To this recipe, I added a squirt each of honey and tomato ketchup, plus a dollop of sweet chilli sauce, and a little bit of cinnamon as well as the cumin. Sorry I can't be more specific with the amounts. It tasted great and is now on our 'favourites' list. As an aside, I love eating avocado with a spoonful or two of sweet chilli sauce on it instead of a salad dressing, and strangely, it doesn't taste 'hot' at all.

  Didn't have harissa paste so used red thai chilli paste instead, and also swapped celery for a leek that was lurking in my fridge. Very tasty, worked well for taking to work for lunch. Addition of cous cous was new idea to me, think it works very well - def planning on making again

  I'm in the unfortunatey awkward position of being not only a single-person household, but also a veggie who likes to eat healthily and isn't addicted to pasta and cheese: a sorely under-represented group, especially in Olive. Consequently, this recipe looked incredibly appealing, as I could make it up to the end of the 30min simmer, portion out and then use over the next few nights as req, adding the couscous and herbs each time. It was gorgeous and I agree it feels healthy too. I added the full whack of harissa (def. Belazu) and always use good pulses, as I happily go for those over cheese any time -Napolina are exceptional. It takes more parsley happily, and was easy to finish off. As well as cinnamon I also added a splash of lemon and some sliced green beans, which slipped in nicely. I'm actually planning to repeat it today and was thinking leeks (I've not used them lately) so I'm pleased to see that little whim encouraged ;) I do believe this little one's a keeper.

  Lovely filling soup - wasn't sure if the couscous would add anything to the dish but it worked really well and it also had quite a kick which was nice. Another great way to use up those store cupboard ingredients.

  I added some peppers into this and it was lovely - great served with pitta bread and very wholesome too which was a bonus!

  Good easy recipe for a filling and healthy mid week staple. I would add less harissa as it was a bit too spicy for my taste. I was concerned the quantity of cous cous in the recipe wouldnt be enough but it turned out to be plenty. Will definitely make again!

  Further to the comment earlier - I married a vegetarian addicted to pasta and cheese. I made this for him, and he loves it. He was apprehensive at first, because it wasn't covered in cheese. Saying that, after a couple of mouthfuls, he added some parmesan on to his own bowl. So you can't beat a real cheese addiction, but I am happy to have found something we both enjoy.

  This is a really lovely filling soup which I've made several times. I only add two teaspoons of Harissa and find this is more than enough. It's cheap to make and being single will last me for four meals. I usually serve with pitta bread.

  Made this today but substituted the cumin for 2tsp of ras el hanout (a Moroccan spice mix) and only used 2tsp of Harissa to make it more family friendly. I also garnished with chopped fresh coriander instead of parsley and added a tsp honey. Thought this gave it quite an authentic Moroccan flavour. Was very simple to make, tasty and extremely filling. All the family have enjoyed this for lunch even my 10 and 12 year old boys. Served it with homemade flatbreads. Lovely!!

  Yes, this soup worked, in a budget-friendly, eke out the week sort of way. I did find though, that it needed a heaped teaspoonful of chilli powder to make it an event. But, hey, I'm just male, OK? Best wishes to everyone, 2RM.
