Very delicious dish that went down really well. It was very easy to make and very effective. 1 poussin between 2 people was definitely suffifcient so this is also a relatively cheap meal. I made this with mash and roasted veg and used the leftover sauce for the gravy - everyone loved it. I will make again.

I made this for friends. When I bought the pouissons, I thought no way would one of them feed two people. So I did buy one each, but when they were cooked, they looked more substantial for some reason. If you have very hungry guests, a whole one could be eaten, but we had starters so half was sufficient. Very tasty and easy dish and looks good. Would do again. We served with the sweet potato and ginger mash and green beans. Deeeeelish !!

Delicious, even though I overcooked it slightly, which was a pity, as I'd hoped to use the gravy! It all stuck to the pan, but my fault, not the recipe's. I served it with noodles fried with bean sprouts and the gravy would have been perfect with those. Will try harder next time but recommend this recipe. We ate a whole poussin each! but half would be fine after starters
