In a word - fantastic. Brilliant alternative to beef burgers. Make sure you do the lemon wedges too as the flavours all compliment each other so well.

I think that the amount of parmesan cheese spoiled the taste of these patties. My husband and I were drinking water for the rest of the evening! They also fell apart during cooking.

Absolutely delicious! The patties were fantastic, will definately be made again and again. The whole meal cost me less than £5, which just makes me love it even more (and that was lean mince too). I cooked the patties in a George Foreman grill so didn't have any problems with them falling apart, and thought the cheese really made them (cheese addicts r us)

These are absolutely delicious and have become a regular family favourite, we've never had a problem with them falling apart however we ususally make them ahead of time and put in the fridge to chill.

Dubious about making this because I am not so keen on burgers but wanted something my niece could make and they were absolutely delicious!

OK - personally I would give this recipe a 5* but my husband was not at all keen as he said there was too much parmesan. I love parmesan - he rated it a 3* so we compromised on a 4*. If you love cheese stick to the recipe if not halve the parmesan :-)

not sure why my last comment has 3 *'s should have been 4. Good Food why are there 6 stars in the rating but you can only rate out of 5 - very confusing

These are really easy to make and very cheap! I have made them few times and when i had no parmesan i added some feta cheese instead, also very tasty alternative. Definitely a family favourite!

I just made these for our family evening meal, and we all absolutely loved the burgers (daughters aged 3 & 6 especially!). I only had new pots and no lemon, so I pan fried them in olive oil, butter and a smidgen of oregano, which I also used in place of the parsley in the burgers. Delish! (No falling apart, and the amount of parmesan was perfect for us) - will definitely be a regular for us.

A lovely tasting recipe. Just the right balance of flavours for us. my onlt critisism is that they fall apart a bit when cooking, but they still taste yummy!

These are gorgeous. Make a lovely change from beef burgers. I added an egg into the patty mixture and they didn't fall apart at all. Also, didn't have any parsley so used oregano. Fried mine on either side to colour & then finished in the oven, draining away any excess fat. Served in little ciabatta buns with the wedges & a big salad. Gorgeous!! Defo don't halve the parmesan in my opinion!

This is a really useful recipe! The burgers are delicious, very quick and easy to make and you can prepare them ahead of time and keep them in the fridge until you want them. They didn't fall apart but I did only turn them once as instructed in the recipe. I think maybe if you turned them over and over they might not stand up to it!

These were a real success. I only put in about 20g of parmesan after previous comments and it seemed loads but it could have done with a bit more. I really liked the lemony taste as did my fussy 8 year old, my 11 year old thought it was too lemony and my husband couldn't taste it! I think I made the patties a bit thick and they took ages to cook, consequently they were quite burnt, err I mean crisp, on the outside. Put an egg in the mix and they stayed together fine.
