Toffee apple & calvados pancakes

- Melt a knob of butter with the sugar in a frying pan. Add the apple wedges and cook until golden and tender. Add the calvados and either flambé or bubble away for 2-3 minutes.
- Warm the crêpes, divide the apple mix between them and fold in quarters. Serve 1 or 2 crêpes (depending on size) with a dollop of cream and a drizzle of toffee sauce.

- 4 ready-made crêpes , buy from larger supermarkets
- extra-thick cream or vanilla ice cream to serve
- dulce de leche or other toffee sauce , warmed to serve
