Method

  1. Mix together the chilli sauce, ginger, soy sauce and lime zest. Pour over the chicken drumsticks and leave to marinate for as long as you can (put them in the fridge if marinating for any longer than 30 mins).
  2. Place the drumsticks in a shallow baking tray, shaking off any excess marinade. Roast for 20 mins, then pour over the leftover marinade and cook for 5 mins more until sticky and browned.

Tip

Try using this marinade on pork chops or salmon steaks - or, for a veggie option, portobello mushrooms.

Absolutly fabulous! Although I didn't have any Sweet Chilli sauce left, so I improvised and used "Cottage Delights" Tropical Mango, Lime and Chilli sauce. This made them even stickier but lots of fun to eat. It was enjoyed by a wide range of ages! We loved it!

Not bad at all but maybe better for party food than for dinner.

Very good. :) Even my husband liked it, and he's not into chicken meat that much. Next time i'll add little bit more of ginger.

Cooked these on the barbecue on Sunday. They were great but agree with Dee could do with a bit more ginger.

This sounds great, although I think it could be even better with some herbs and maybe a drizzle of honey. Please take a look at my traditional Albanian Leek soup recipe! Thanks :) http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/262605/albanian-leek-soup

Did 25 drumsticks for a party today and they were very well received. As suggested added extra ginger and cooked at 190 degrees C fan oven. Easy to prepare party food. Will try on chicken thighs for a tasty midweek supper.
