Make a vegetarian version by replacing the tuna with chunks of mozzarella.

Low Gi

Pasta is a classic low-Gi food and this recipe makes the Gi even lower by adding lemon, capers and red onion. However, you need to watch how much you eat - too much will increase the glycaemic load.

Quick and easy and delicious! And perfect portion sizes too, just right without the addition of any extras like bread. I did get chilli in my eye though, and it's stinging quite a lot now!

I love this, and make it quite often. Make sure you don't use too little oil - the pasta needs to be shiny and silky when coated in the oil, otherwise it can get a bit sticky.

my boyfriend loves it.... and it is so easy to make. I have put more capers and red onion in. I also buy tuna in olive oil (in a glass at Waitrose) it is a bit expensive but it taste so much better and I don't have to put extra oil in.

It's quite tasty, but don't be afraid of throwing in the olive oil rather liberally, using more capers and less onion (or cooking it a little). Also it's worth adding a little balsamic vinegar if you'd like to take the edge off a bit.

I was looking for something like this. Due to my Protein requirements in my diet I used 100 g gluten free pasta, 1 tin tuna and remaining ingredients as above, no salt. I mixed the main ingredients first so that it could be used over several days. When i needed it i opened the tuna fresh and then mixed all ingredients before eating. Really tasty.
