Turnip Gratin. I used ginger beer instead of cider which made it slightly sweet and I sprinkled cheese over and used fromage fraise instead of cream. It was wonderful

Tasted absolutely fantastic wth freshly harvested white turnip. The only change I made was to use thick cut smokey back bacon, which gave a lovely rich flavour.

Before I made this recipe I did not like turnips but they turned up in my organic box so thought I would give it a go. Really glad that I did, we loved this, the flavours were amazing and will definitely be using again.

This was really tasty, I used smoked streaky bacon as I had that in - only slight complaint is that there was probably a bit too much liquid as my was a little bit sloppy.

I used reduced fat creme fraiche instead of double cream. Great way to use up my glut of turnips. Went down a storm.

I didn't have cider so used some stock & garlic & it was delicious and I am not very keen on turnips. It took longer to cook as the slices were thick.
