I only had one lemon but today's really hot and hubby is outside concreting, I used 1 lemon, 30g of sugar (he hasn't got a sweet tooth) a spot of lime juice, a good couple of handfuls of ice and 300ml water. It needs a finer sieve but was delicious and just hit the spot.

This has probably saved me from dehydration.....pregnant and gone off tea and every type of juice I buy I go off after a glass this is lovely and very refreshing, I've made lemonade before but using the syrup method which was a bit too sweet for me but this is perfect! :-)

I made a third of this because my mum was saying ' don't waste the limes' so I made it with the following: 400ml water The juice of 1 lime 100g caster sugar And best of all, (drum roll please) MY GRANDMA DRANK IT TOO!

Very very easy to make and is an instant hit every time it is served. It also stores well in the fridge for a week. I whizzed all ingredients and sieved it but did not add the remaining half ltr of water. Took the bottle to a picnic, added the rest of the water and a nice refreshing drink was ready!

I too recall this recipe from the Kenwood Chef book but I'm sure that the recipe called for a whole egg - shell and all - anyone else know of that recipe?

All I can say is absolutely amazing! I wanted to attempt something new for my parents and sister to try, and this was a winner. I used slightly less than the amount of sugar stated and sparkling water...There was hardly any left for me! A great alternative to fizzy cool drinks. Thumbs up :)

It was wonderful drinking that lemonade which I made by my own hands. My parents really appreciated how I made this by my own.

I found this really bitter and the kids were really disappointed and we ended up throwing it away. A waste of lemons, sugar, and an hour! bleurgh!

Absolutely handsome! I'll use about a quarter less sugar next time though, but really easy and lovely. In fact, stop reading this review - go and make it, you'd be half way there by now. But since you're still reading I'll tell you this; I had 4 lemons which I had grated for their zest to use in a cheesecake (also to be found on this site), I used these for the lemonade. So, it's official, this lemonade is still great, even without the zest.
