Method

  1. Tip the lemons, sugar and half the water into a food processor and blend until the lemon is finely chopped.
  2. Pour the mixture into a sieve over a bowl, then press through as much juice as you can. Top up with the remaining water and serve with plain ice or frozen with slices of lemon and lime.

    Great Idea for the kids to make on a hot summer's day. I felt the skin-and-all approach might be too bitter for the little ones so we just squeezed juice from 3 large lemons, added the sugar and sparkling water for a fizzy treat. They all loved, I hardly had any left for myself! Will def make again and again....

    REALLY easy and very tasty. Makes about 1 1/2 litres. I popped in a lime for extra taste and it was yummy. With more time i probably would have seived again and maybe added more water, but will be defo doing this again for a BBQ or when the sun is out for a treat!

    Really easy to make and enjoyed it really cold lots of ice having a day off alcohol as been busy cooking and packing presents for my grandchildren. Really glad i've signed up as I throughly enjoy the magazine and read it from cover to cover, over and over till my next one arrives.

    Our family has been making this for the past 40 years using a recipe from the booklet that came with my mums Kenwood Chef. We make it in a liquidiser - just bung everything in including ice and then strain. Even easier than this recipe. Really refreshing on a hot summers day.

    Lemons are big and fat here in Cyprus at the mo so I thought I'd take advantage. I added about 2 cms of root ginger to this and it was delicious. Must admit I wasn't convinced about using the whole lemon as I thought the pith might make it bitter - but it didn't. Having a glass of it as I type this - cheers everyone!

    This really is quick and easy to make and tastes delicious. I will definitely be making it again. I also only used the juice and mixed it in a jug with the sugar and water.

    Just browsing summer drink recipes, found this, and 10 minutes later I'm enjoying a glass of it - absolutely delicious! I even like the lovely sugary lemony pith left over - I think a little would be nice sprinkled over ice cream as a quick treat!

    This is the exact same recipe that came with my first Kenwood chef 40 years ago and I still have the booklet that contains it. There were no food processors then, so everything was put in the liquidizer and whizzed round, much easier. Still a delicious recipe, which I use all the time.
