This was lush! I cooked this for me and my mum, I added alot more sauce after reading comments that it was dry and I added quite alot of basil by cutting it up finely and putting it in with the sauce and it wasn't dry at all this way. Me and my mum found the chilli a bit much (we might just be wimps) so next time I'll leave out the chilli. But for such little ingredients it was absolutely delicious!

Lovely and quick recipe. I read the comments below before cooking and added baby corn, mushrooms, spring onions and cashew nuts to the dish. Will be making this again for sure

A favourite in our house. I added onion and garlic too, was very tasty. However, I'd say the recipe is for 2 not 4, unless we're really big eaters :) Very yummy and soooooo fast its unbelievable

Delicious and so, so quick! It literally took 5 minutes. I'll try adding a few veg next time.

Amazing recipe!!! Very quick, easy and tasty. I'm not a big fan of beef but this is great!
I didn't have basil so added flaked almond and I love it!

Really tasty. I added spring onions, red pepper and mange tout and it just gave it that little bit extra.

This is a really great recipe. Added lots of spinach and some red peppers and soy sauce. Kept with lots of basil. Tastes very good for so little effort!

Really great really quick recipe! use a small chilli for more heat. I decided to augment the recipe with 2 teaspoons of sugar and one of rice wine, I also served it with some spinach! lovely! buy make sure you buy good quality beef mine started to stew with he amount of water which came out of it! it also ended up being dramatically less than the amount needed for the recipe.

Very tasty and easy to do.

Without reading any of the other comments here, I made the decision to augment the recipe by adding in 1 birdseye chilli (with seeds), a handful of sping onions chopped, and for the sauce, to the recommended level of oyster, I added several healthy shakes of dark soy, and a lesser amount of Mirin for sweetness.

Very nice - the heat was sharp and lingering but bearable, stayed on the lips but if the calories count is to be believed not on the hips!

Made this on Thursday. Super quick and easy. Could not believe how much flavour from so little ingredients. Oyster sauce will be in all my stirfrys in future. Will leave the seeds in the chilli next time as I think it needed more heat.

very good recipe easy and simple, and really full of flavor
- i used veal thin slices and cut them into strips
- i served it with teriyaki sauce so not too dry with rice

Found this strangely disappointing. Nice ingredients but not much flavour. Chose it because I needed something quick to make (which it is).

Thought it was simple and nice enough. Will make more sauce and add more chillies next time. Stars not working again 3/5

Wasn't too impressed with this - a bit plain - definitly needs veg adding.

This was SOOOOOO simple and tasted good. Will definately do it again. Make sure you use good steaks. We also added red pepper and used more oyster sauce. served on noodles as OH doesnt like rice. Not sure the stars are working, I give it 4/5

Really nice and very quick to make. I put some thin strips of red pepppers in with it and served it with egg fried rice -- will definitely make again.

use good quality beef frying steak! Second time I made this I added extra chillis and doubled the oyster sauce as I found it was not spicy at all and quite dry the first time round. served with spring onions on top and rice. cheap and quick to make!

Bland - needs more flavour - more chilli, perhaps some ginger & garlic - we added soy sauce and thai sweet chilli dipping sauce to try to get some flavour into this recipe.

Read other comments about being too dry so used 3 tbsp of oyster sauce and 3 tbsp of soy sauce which seemed to be just the right amount of sauce. Added lots of veg for goodness and was really delicious!
