Linguine with steak, tomatoes & basil

Ready in 20 mins- Cook the linguine following the packet instructions.
- Meanwhile, heat a little oil and fry the onion for about 5 minutes until it browns, add the steak and brown all over.
- Add the tomatoes and cook until they start to break down, season and add the olives.
- Toss the mixture through the linguine along with the basil.

Pasta gets the gold star in terms of Gi - spaghetti has a Gi of 30-50, depending on its country of origin. But this recipe keeps it within the lower end of the scale. Enjoy it al dente so that your body needs to work harder, as this preserves a lower Gi rating.
