Gi assessment

Linguine has a low-Gi score, but it also depends on portion size. Stretch the amount of pasta to serve 3-4 people as this will ensure a lower blood glucose response. The lemon juice also helps to lower the Gi.

I cooked for 5 people and doubled ingredients but i used too much pasta which made it quite sticky and went cold fairly quick. The taste was delicious, i loved the horseradish touch. Make sure salmon is sustainable as it tastes much better. Less pasta next time.

Lovely flavours fantastic. I followed the other comments and only put half a lemon in but served the rest on the side. Still ended up squeezing the rest in though. I did add some capers which I thought complimented the dish. This will be made again.

I took note of others readers comments and used half a lemon which was plenty. A tasty quick mid week dish

Delicious but I agree with the other comments that the horseradish is a little overpowering- I would only use 1tbsp or possibly less next time. Great quick and simple meal though!

I really enjoyed this recipe! I have just had it for my dinner and have enough left for lunch tomorrow. I did halve the amount of pasta used and also added some cheery tomatoes for a little bit of sweetness. I didn't have a lemon but had plenty of lemon juice due to pancake day so I used 2 tablespoons and didn't find it at all overpowering.

I was very surprised with the recipe, since I only tried it to use up some fridge/storecupboard items before moving house. It was absolutely delicious though - I will be buying some more horseradish soon!

Absolutely delicious. My local supermarket only bags of watercress, spinach and rocket so I used that. After reading the comments other people had made about lemon I just added the juice and zest of half a lemon which seemed to give the dish a subtle flavour of lemon rather than an overpowering one. It goes well with a salad, including olives and pine nuts, and a red wine such as a shiraz. Anyway enjoyed it that much that I'm going to try it out on the mother-in-law this coming Sunday!

Ditto on the lemon - I'd suggest just using the zest or maybe just a squeeze of juice. Otherwise, one of the most successful and delicious meals I've ever made!

Took the general concensus of advice and cut the lemon juice by half and it worked very well. Quick and helthy and very tasty. I used smoked salmon trimmings at 99p and it then even became cheap. Definitely champagne on beer money!

Used soya cream instead of creme fraiche as am lactose intolerant. Noted the lemon comments so just used a little & changed the watercress for spinach as that's all I could get. Was very yummy!

Really really disappointed with this. I reduced the amount of lemon as advised but it tasted awful. I really like all of the components so wasn't expecting it to be so unpleasant.

What a great recipe! I skipped lemon and added some chopped asparagus- it was simply de-li-cious! But try it for yourself - I'm a biased smoked-salmon lover!

I agree with the halving of the horseradish. That's what over-powered the taste, not the lemon. Other than that it's a great recipe which you can do in about 15 mins start to finish.

I must have used a really strong horseradish as it completely overpowered everything else, could not taste the salmon or the lemon unfortunately.
