Sprouts with walnuts & bacon

A great way to serve sprouts - don't save them for Christmas - make the most of them through their seasonal winter months

Ready in 15 minutes

Method

  1. Steam the sprouts until tender but still bright green, about 5 minutes. Fry the lardons in a non-stick pan until crisp and golden, about 3 minutes. Add a small knob of butter and the walnuts and stir for a couple of minutes. Toss with the sprouts and serve.

    This was great and went down well with the whole family. Adding walnuts actually works, even for someone for me who doesn't usually like walnuts. It tastes lovely.
