dont forget that fruit sugar is still sugar. i think people dont realise sometimes that fruit smoothies arent as healthy as they are made out to be.

What...? Fruit smoothies are exactly as healthy as they are made out to be! But people just don't have a clue how to handle their sugar intake... INSTEAD of eating sugary treats such as cookies, they should eat fruit or drink a fruit smoothie. You shouldn't mislead people like that, by saying such strange things.

I agree with Indra, fruit smoothies are very healthy, I make smoothies using apple juice and whatever fruit we have in for my family, my 2yr old loves strawberrys rasberrys and grapes blended with apple juice so that it's not too thick.

I also agree. Smoothies are quick and easy and count towards your five-a-day. This one is especially tasty and is a good way to add variety to your diet.

Bloody expensive way to get your five a day, that's for certain! Combinations I like: - orange and peach - green apple, green grape and kiwi (with ice cold water to thin it out)

The only problem from fruit sugars comes in when you are a diabetic. Some apples alone have the equivalent of five teaspoonfuls of sugar in them as my brother found out to his cost. So, diabetics have to treat these drinks with care.

This recipe is ok. It can get a bit overwhelming at times with all that fruit! I've tried better but I've also tried worse. It's very expensive aswell. I'm not sure about the fruit sugar thing...I suppose as long as your eating lots of fruit and getting vitamins and stuff from it, you can have as much "fruit sugar" as you want...I'm not an expert though

The thing with smoothies is not the fruit particularly, it's when you get recipes that tell you to add ice cream, honey or full fat greek yoghurt. They are the ones to avoid if you watching what you eat.
