Method

  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Line 1-2 baking sheets with baking parchment. Mix the sugars and butter together with a wooden spoon, then add the egg, vanilla, flour and half the melted milk chocolate and mix together. Stir in the white and plain chocolate chips or chunks, then use an ice-cream scoop or round tablespoon (like a measuring spoon) to scoop out balls of cookie dough and drop them straight onto the trays.
  2. Bake in batches for 8-9 mins until pale golden and still soft to touch - they will firm up as they cool. Carefully transfer to a wire rack as soon as they can be lifted up, then drizzle with the remaining melted chocolate.

These are the best chocolate cookies I have ever made and they were soon eaten up!! They are very easy to make. I left over too much chocolate to drizzle over which spoilt them a bit, so next time I will melt some extra chocolate after the cookies are cooked.

don't know what all the fuss is about, these are great ! The kids love making them, especially the choc drizzling (funny how there is always some left over for them to finish off !) And as for eating them, they don't last long ! so enough said.

The best cookie recipe ever!! I have shared it with most of my friends, who have loved it so much they've shared it with their friends. The crisp outside and gooey chocolatey inside is heavenly. Get baking :-)

So indulgent! But oh so yummy, if you've got a sweet tooth like yours truly. I can understand some people thinking they're too sweet, but I think they're perfect. Triple chocolate, what's not to like?!! My boyfriend and I often make them on lazy sunday afternoons, they make the house smell delicious!

This has officially become my favourite chocolate chip cookie recipe! Lovely and crunchy, chewy and soft at the same time (yes, it IS possible!). Still slightly warm - just curious to see how they will be tomorrow when I take them to work ... IF there are any left. Try them!

Poor. Thought everything seemed a little easy at first look. Chocolate leaks out as they cook and goes around the edge where it is easily burnt. wont be using recipe again

Mixing 70g of melted milk choc doesn't make the biscuit part chocolaty enough, I'd definitely replace some of the flour with cocoa next time. Otherwise very tasty.

Perfect gooeyness but a wee bit too much chocolate made them super sweet. Will try again with less chocolate, maybe more dark.

Just made these with my son and they are lovely! Easy enough for him to make by himself. I would happily play around with the recipe by altering the chocolate and I think they would still be great without the chocolate on top.

definitely too sweet.so made them again with dark chocolate and added a tad more flour and baking powder to keep them from falling apart. Will try them again with nuts to replace the milk chocolate!
