I've made this for two dinner parties, it was really well received both times. I have passed the recipe on to friends and they all love it. It's great for a dinner party, you can make it well in advance and forget about it until it's served. :)

This was for a Royal Wedding bash and wasn't as popular as I thought it would be. It was tasty but I couldn't help thinking tiny squares of brown bread with a piece of smoked salmon on top would have been just as nice, and less fattening!

This is really great! I did half quantities in the blender and half just chopping finely and beating in (as I wanted to decide which would be best to serve at a dinner party). They were both very tasty - the non-blended tasted slightly better as the texture works well, but I will definitely go with the blender method for the dinner party as it is soooooooo much faster than the time it takes to chop all the salmon finely enough.

Lovely recipe. I didn't have any horseradish or chives so I just used garlic and herb cream cheese and a pinch of smoked sweet paprika and plenty of black pepper and lemon juice.

Brilliant easy tasty starter!! I put all the ingredients and also the zest of the lemon into my processor along with half the smoked salmon, when that was blended fairly smoothly, added roughly choped remainder of the smoked salmon, compliments all round, who could believe something so easy could be so tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such an easy and effective recipe. We've used it for about a year now on melba toasts and as a dip. We also had it on Christmas day on mini blinis. Everyone comments on how good it is. We don't blend it and simply buy the cheaper smoked salmon offcuts so leave it quite lumpy.

This recipe was excellent, throughly enjoyed as a starter. My only slight critism would be that the recipe suggest 8 servings but it only made 5 for us. I may well have overserved!
