  This dish has a lovely delivately nutty flavour balanced and smoothed by the cream. Goes well with a light, Italian-style salad with hazelnuts and vinegar to reinforce the experience.

  How much is a bunch of asparagus, my farm shop sells bunches with 500g asparagus while sainsburys sells bunches at 250g weight. Please can anyone help!?

  This was delicious, I used mature cheddar instead of parmesan due to being pregnant. Plus added chopped up ham and some broad beans. fantastic recipie.

  Fantastic recipe, I added a little bit of bacon to the cream and left one garlic clove in it before blending. Will do it again for sure.

  Gorgeous gorgeous!! I added some pancetta for a little extra thing in it but really not necessary as just as simply beautiful without it! V High kcals but well worth it!!

  Yum yum! I added a large splash of white wine to the cream and a crushed garlic clove before blending. Then halved some button mushrooms and fried them very quickly in some garlic butter before stirring into the pasta.

  I've made this recipe before (using Trail of Tears beans instead of asparagus with garlic slices softened in the cream), and my love says she wants me to make it again this weekend; and what my love wants, she invariably gets... yum-yum ptw

  Delicious! I've made this a few times now. Adding mushrooms sounds like a good idea - I forgot to remove the garlic before blending though - oops! Not too bad but it does then over-power the rest of the dish!

  had this today.very easy to do .added chestnut mushrooms and chicken.delicious girlfriend run finger around dish leaving no sauce a good sign in my book lol
