Baked beans get a posh and spicy twist in this quick-to-prepare brunch

Method

  1. Cook the onion and garlic in a little olive oil until the onion is soft and translucent. Add the tomato, chilli flakes and beans, season well and simmer until the sauce is rich and thick. Stir through the basil then pile onto toast and top with Parmesan.

    I made this recipie for a brunch along with a few other dishes and it went down a treat, everyone was raving on it, and it was the easiest to make!

    Very tasty, I also made it for a brunch and used a tin of haricot beans, soooo much nicer than normal baked beans with weird orange sauce.

    Delicious! I am trying to enjoy a healthier diet this year and increase my iron intake so I substituted my favourite beans with this recipe. Easy to make for lunch and really tasty.
