  I cooked this recepe twice this week, it's so good and quick to prepare. One time didn't have spring onions and I put some onions and it was deliciuos. Best to be served with white steamed rice.

  Really delicious. Lovely flavours and worked very well with coconut rice. We used fresh chilli (sliced) and it was very tasty, we also reduced the sugar to two tbsp and it was plenty.

  The whole family loved it (age 2-4-37-41)! I made it with onions instead of spring onions and fried some noodles in the juice that was left in the wok. I also used 1/3 of fresh big red chilli, thinly sliced. This one will be made again very soon! Do not hesitate to try it!

  One of my husbands favourites when we go to a chinese restaurant and he loved it. Did not change anything apart from reducing the sugar to 3 tbsps and I served it with noodles.

  Easy, quick and delicious! I used slightly less broccoli and added a sliced yellow pepper, and served it with chilli coated noodles. Will definitely make this again (and again....)

  I was a bit unsure how the broccoli would work but the result was fantastic. It honestly was better than a take away (and we should know!!)

  I made this last night got to say its the best recipe that i have cooked off here so far! I adapted the recipe a little like janet did i only used 2 tbsp of sugar in the soy sauce and that was plenty. i didnt use 5cm of ginger as im not overly keen so i grated down about a 2cm piece. (didnt like the thought of little chunks of it) and i only used 1 lime as im not keen on too much of that either! It really was tasty and will be having it again very soon! I agree with stuck-on-a-rock it was tastyer than the chinese version. Anyone have any ideas on how to make more sauce though!?

  Having been starved of chinese food since we left the UK this recipe fills the craving and more. Very easy to put together and tastes delicious. I did use 5cm of ginger despite doubting it would be far too much, which it wasn't. Didn't have a lime so used the juice of 1 lemon which worked fine. Took the advice of one of the comments and used only 2 tbsp of sugar which was perfect. Served it with noodles. My Husband loved it so much he was looking for the take-away packaging!

  tried this at the weekend, but i forgot to put in the ginger - t'was a bit salty but still a great success. i also added noodles to the pan at the end .I used a mix of corn and gram flour with a bit of chilli powder to coat the beef.

  Very tasty - just a bit messy frying the beef. I put the beef on some kitchen paper once fried to remove some of the excess oil.
