Cumin lamb fillet with cauliflower crush
Cauliflower is a great low-GI food, and works well with this spicy lamb recipe

Ready in 20 mins
- Mix the cumin, garlic and chilli and rub all over the lamb.
- Cook the cauliflower in simmering water until it is tender and drain very well. Crush roughly with a knob of butter and season well.
- Meanwhile heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the lamb on all sides until it is browned and feels firm to the touch. Leave for a couple of minutes then slice and serve on the cauliflower with any juices poured over.
The GI lowdown
Lamb is a protein food so it won't have an effect on your blood sugar. The cauliflower is a great low-Gi food. This would go really well with steamed basmati rice - one of the best varieties when you're thinking about Gi.
