This was very straight forward to prepare, but was a bit too 'heavy' for me. I served it with fresh raspberies & cream, which lightened it a bit. If I made it again, I think I'd cook it for less time, as mine was slightly dry.

lovely!! I made a family sized one (quiche flan disposable foil tin)to feed 8 who descended on me unexpectedly. cooked it for half an hour, served it still warm as had no time to cool properly, with ice cream on the side, went down a storm!!!!

I made this recipe as one large tart rather than four small onesfor a birthday party buffet and was surprised at how quick and easy it was. I made it earlier in the day and kept it in the fridge. No one commented on whether it was good or not but I personally thought it was really nice and I'm not usually a fan of dark chocolate. (I'm not sure that people completely registered it had been hand made when none of the other stuff was).

I made 24 minature tarts, they were so quick and simple to make - my 2yr old even helped! I put all of the chocolate in the tarts and didn't put cocoa on top as I thought that would be too much, instead they had a big blob of cream on top and they were delicious.

This was really really lovely! I made a large version and cooked it for about 25 minutes until just set. I also used sweet almond pastry instead of shortcrust which was fantastic. Almost everyone had seconds and complements where extravigant!

A delicious straight forward dessert! I used Green & Black's Maya Gold (scrumptious) and then topped it off with chocolate curls. It looked and tasted great with some great comments.

mine came out with a slightly moussy texture to it, is this right? might be due to the fact I used the full 200g of chocolate in the mixture instead of reserving it?

These tarts were very successful. I chose to make my own pastry from another recipe on the bbc goodfood website, so they inevitably took longer than 30 mins! It made 13 6cm tarts, with mixture still left over. If I do them again, I think I might add a bit of lemon zest or something, to give them an extra kick, but otherwise they were very tasty :).

I really want to make these and found them as the result of a low-calorie pudding search but I can't see how they're only 184 kcal per portion. How small are the portions?!

I was able to make 4 x 10cm tarts and a large 20cm with the ingredients listed. The trick is cooking it so its set correctly. Its very easy to overcook and then the chocolate filling goes very firm to touch and I would imagine dry. Otherwise....dee-lish..... :0)

I can't understand how this recipe could only be 184 cal per tart? 200g of chocolate divided by 4 (the number of services) is more than 184 cal on it's own without even starting on the pastry., Do they mean 4 small tarts then a 1/4 of a small tart?

These are not 184 kcal per serving, they are 1214 kcal per serving! Multiply Fat by 9, Carbohydrate by 4, and Protein by 4. This will give you the total kcal. Somebody should remove these from the low calorie list on here...it's not a good mistake to make when people are trying to watch their intake.
