  1. Heat a shallow saucepan and sizzle the bacon for about 2 mins until starting to brown. Throw in the chicken, then fry for 3-4 mins until it has changed colour. Turn up the heat and throw in the mushrooms. Cook for a few mins, stir in the flour, then cook until a paste forms.

Excellent recipe. I went for the option of adding a tea spoon of paprika ad salt & pepper. Yummy!

This was really tasty. I served it with basmati rice and some mini wholemeal pitta breads. I added some smoked paprika and red peppers too. Also added some leftover passata i had in the fridge as i found the sauce a bit thick and dry. Will make again.

This food website is the BEST in the universe!!!! I was such a bad cook, now my hubby ask me everyday which nice food are we having for lunch. I made this dish today, and the whole family repeat their plates. A winner! I just added carrots, celery and sweet potatos to make it more healthy.

My husband and teenage kids loved this. I think its a good basic receipe that you can add to and adapt as you wish. A great dish for feeding a crowd!

This is a family favourite although like others have said, it can be a bit salty depending on the bacon, I usually serve this with rice as none of my family are big potato lovers.

I love this recipe. I always make double as it freezes really well. I find it really flavoursome, and I'm someone who needs intense flavours in a meal. It can be a bit salty though depending on the bacon.

I took some of the peoples comments about this recipe on board, so did my own changes - I fried the bacon in garlic infused olive oil, with the chicken and the onion, then put a chicken stock cube in instead of beef, added black peppar and freshy chopped oregano with some white wine! Delicious!

I've made this last night and it was a hit with the whole family! However, I did add some garlic, paprika, white wine and chicken stock and it was awesome! I will be making it again for sure!

ABSOLUTLY GORGEOUS
I USED A GARLIC CLOVE WITH A TIN OF TOMATOES AND IT WAS AWSOME. I SERVED MINE WITH VEGETABLE PILAU RICE, AND THEY BOTH COMPLEMENTED EACH OTHER PERFECT. BETTER THAN ANY TAKEAWAY!!!

Great easy recipe. A bit salty depending on the bacon. Great with a dollop of mashed potato!

This has become one of our favourites - I do it in the slow cooker - so easy but so tasty!

I used basil instead of parsley, thought it brought out the flavour of the chicken really well.
