180c if you have a normal electric oven 160c if you have an electric fan oven Recipe is fantastic, have made many many times & I always substitute honey for golden syrup, reduce caster sugar by 25g & increase muscovado sugar by 25g. Everyone who's ever tried this cake loves it

I am a very inexperienced baker and this brownie turned out brilliantly! My boyfriend demands I make it on a regular basis - it is really gorgeous and very rich, would highly recommend for any chocolate lover.

Yep this is pretty good, kids loved it. I used green and blacks cooking chocolate and added green and blacks maya chunks...very very naughty! Took alittle longer to cook and caught around the edges a bit, chopped those off and it was delicious : ) Am gonna try with white choc chunks next time

So good I'm surprised it's not illegal! I have to confess I doubled the quantity the other day - well there were people coming round! (Although no way near 18...)

I have an extremely sweet tooth, and even for me it was a bit much. If I tried this one again, I'd probably use soft brown sugar rather than muscovado as it gave quite a powerful taste of black treacle. I liked the crunchier outside - the inside was very very gooey even though it was cooked for the full time in my hot oven.

This is beautiful! They are so chewy and moist, and adding some orange extract just adds that extra bit of taste. I have also put some caramel I have made into the mix :o, which was simply scrumptious, although it was incredibly chewy then! A definate 5 stars and I am sure i will make this on many occasions.

i made this last night but, 1. only had SR flour so used that and didn't use baking powder. 2. used a 20cm square tin 3. added some milk choc chips It really turned out perfectly. I cut into squares and took into work today - everyone thought they were great. I make brownies regularly and think this will be the only recipe i use from now on.

Not sure what I did wrong with this but my cake was as hard as rock, and apart from using it as a doorstop I didn't know what else to do with it! I consider myself pretty good a cake baking but I somehow went wrong with this recipe. I've just make the Chocolate Fondant recipe by Gordon Ramsey so I know I haven't lost my touch, but I definitely won't be trying this recipe again...
