  I don't recall a time when I've made this and it did not turn out perfectly! It the cake that everyone loves. I'm always being asked to give the recipe. I've mixed cherries in once and it was good. Gave the cake that slight fruity kick.

  this is the best recipie for brownies... i made lots for my history buddies during our long two hour sessions and they helped us get through it all! rather than the cake tin i put them in a square tin and they came out fine... just cut them up into little squares! AMAZING! 10 out of 10!!!

  Just made this for a pre Christmas Christmas dinner for my family. It was lovely just served with double cream. And very, very easy - even after a little bit of sherry!!

  This recipe is rubbish it doesn't work cos the brownies just go all hard and we followed the excact recipe and they didn't work! DO NOT BAKE OR MAKE THESE!

  Tastes delicious, but mine collapsed as soon as I tried to take it out of the tin. Is this because the recipe doesn't specify how much baking powder to use?? I guessed with 1 tsp...? Also, "grease and line a tin" - does that mean grease the tin and then line it, or line the tin and grease the lining? Not very clear, so again, I guessed!!

  This was so simple to make and tasted delicious, i made the mistake of not putting it in a big enough tin so it went over the edges a bit but even those were lovely and chewy, so quick and tasty the kids could do it! Id reccomend it to anyone who loves chocolate

  This recipe never fails to impress and tastes even nicer when stored in a cake tin and eaten the day after. In reply to a previous comment - yep. it is supposed to have a crunchy texture on the outside and gooey on the inside. Delicious!!
