Ingredients
for the bread
- 500g strong plain flour 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 300ml warm water
- 2 teaspoon parsley or mixed herbs
Method
- STEP 1sieve the flour in the bowl and rub in 1 teaspoon salt and all the yeast
- STEP 2add warm water and mix until it has started to come together
- STEP 3add 3 tablespoons oil and knead in the bowl
- STEP 4take out of the bowl and knead on the surface you will not need more flour as the oil will combine with the bread dough
- STEP 5put on a tray with baking parchment and spread out to the corners
- STEP 6leave in a warm place for an hour or until it has doubled in size
- STEP 7spread the rest of the oil over the top followed by the parsley or mixed herbs
- STEP 8put in the oven for 20-25 minutes
