Tasted great. If I do it again I would add something to chew on as it was more like a soup texture.

Sounds good - can't wait to try it - must get some mackerel fillets tomorrow!

"yummy" was the reaction of my 2yr old! very simple and easy and cuz i was looking for a quick fish dish for a toddler i halved the portion sizes and served with carrots and green beans. i used capelin as id bought that from my fishmonger to use for my child as its boneless (i think it was capelin) but it worked a treat, i gently fried 2 shallots, added chopped garlic, basil, parsley n italian herbs then added the toms n stock then slightly seasoned with salt n pepper..........thumbs up :)

Great - just what it says on the recipe - a fast fish pie.

I didn't toast the breadcrumbs first as the hot grill easily did that for me in the 5 mins (probably less!)

An awesome easy damn-good winter-recipe for a typical cosy near-the-fireplace-watching-Spooks bowl-meal.
