  Very nice maybe a bit too buttery for my liking. I omitted the orange flavour and just used plain dark choc for topping. All in all, thumbs up!

  Not made this particular cake but have made a great chocolate orange marble cake before from the blog below. I've found cocoa powder can make marble cakes really dry, but in the recipe I follow, some oil is added to the batter to compensate and then an orange drizzle is seeped into the baked cake to make it really moist.   Made this for work colleagues, it turned out great! I used a round cake tin and it took less time to cook (about 35mins) and it was a great consistency and tasted great too, the orange flavour worked really well. Great recipe, can recommend it!

  I made this earlier to use up a slightly sorry looking orange. It took longer than the stated cooking time in my oven, but that might be because I chopped up half a bar of chocolate and added that to the chocolate half. It's nice, it could do with a slightly larger orange hit. Next time I might top it with an orange drizzle.

  I made this yesterday and my family loved it. The marble effect was brilliant. It was so yummy it's all gone now! I had to bake it for 70 minutes in the end but it was worth the wait. I will definitely make this again.

  Hi, I want to try this cake for my 2 year old girl's birthday. If I "double" the recipe can someone please advise me what size rectangular baking dish should I use ? Hopefully someone can help with an answer thanks!

  Hi Al: I doubled the recipe and made it in a 30 cm x 22 cm baking dish, taste was great , but.... it cooked very well all around and it was uncooked in the middle top... I left it for 55min at 180 C. I put it back 20 more min and the middle still not cooked so I just decided to cut the cooked parts, leave them outside and put back in the oven the rest for 15 more minutes :-( Fortunately is only a trial before the big event. Im afrad I will have to do another recipe :-(
