  • 250g very lean pork mince
  • handful fresh breadcrumbs
  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ garlic clove, crushed or finely chopped
  • finely grated zest ½ lemon (use the juice in the tzatziki)

For the radish tzatziki

  • 100g low-fat Greek yogurt
  • ½ tbsp chopped dill, plus extra to serve (optional)
  • 8 small radish, roughly chopped or sliced

Method

  1. Put the pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, lemon zest, oregano and egg in a bowl and season generously. Mix together well and form into 6 patties. Chill until ready to use.

  2. To make the radish tzatziki, mix all the ingredients together and season. Heat a griddle pan to high. Rub the patties with a tiny bit of oil and cook for 2-3 mins each side. Serve with the tzatziki alongside, scattered with more dill, if you like.

This has become a household favourite. The tzatziki is so full of flavour and a great accompaniment to the patties. I serve with pitta bread and salad, a great mid-week dinner.

I burnt them.Yet I believe the concept was good & I will attempt again.With tzatziki & radishes you cannot go far wrong.

Great recipe - I loved the twist of the radish tzatziki. I used panko breadcrumbs as well because I find them lighter, but had to add a half handful more.
