Very moist chocolate cake/torte! To make it a special birthday cake, I added chocolate frosting on top, with raspberries and malteasers, very rich, looked great and went down very well!

I added 4 eggs as per some of the comments left on here and used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. Had to cook for an extra 15 minutes, it was slightly burnt on top and around the edges however delicious

Tried it last week and thought it was a bit dry, couldn't figure out why, used 4 eggs instead of 3 as well. For that reason, I'm giving it only 3 stars. Taste wise, it was lovely, wasn't too sweet. Perhaps I should have left the chocolate bits a bit chunkier.

this is just as nice with out the pecans.I also found that it freezes well if you pre cut some slices and wrap it up well, then it's ready to be taken out when needed for pack lunches

I tried this recipe last night. It was simple and delicious! I did have to extend the cooking time by 10 minutes and I replaced the pecans with flaked almonds. Will definitely be making this again! NOM!

Lovely, I made it with my 3 boys for an evening with friends. Everyone loved it. We missed out the pecans and added some chopped white chocolate instead due to fussy kids but still came out fab. Light and almost moussy in the middle with a cruchy outside, yummy!

This is a very easy cake to make, I added an extra egg, as suggested and the texture was light and moist.. perfect! As usual with brownies I took it out of the over just before it was done, so it was still wet inside. Just as long as you get those stiff peaks, it's fool proof!

Wow! This was a serious chocolate hit! Bit too rich for me but everyone else loved it! Top seemed crumbly, almost dusty when touched? Not sure if it was supposed to be or if it was because I had visitors who arrived just after I melted choc, they stayed a while so it was quite thick when I used it - I wasn't sure if I could melt it again. Still vanished quickly though!
