- preheat oven gas 2/150
- line square18cm tin
- put treacle,golden syrup+margarine in a pot heat gently till melted
- sieve flour,baking soda+ginger in a large bowl make a well in the centre and pour in milk and treacle mix, beat well till smooth
- pour into tin and bake for an hour, cool in tin for one hour+turn on to wire rack. when cool wrap in greaseproof paper for 2 days
